A plaster mold is made from the original, filled with crushed glass (pate de verre) and fired into a molten form in the kiln. On the second day students learn the ancient technique of lost wax casting, and experiment with using metals to color our glass forms. On the final day, the class unloads the kiln, removes plaster molds, cleans and finishes our works of art. Open to all levels of experience. Materials included.
